We at Living Letters receive letters from inmates all over the state. Many of the letters ask for discipleship, mentoring, and to be enrolled in Therapon Bible College.
One of the things that makes Therapon unique is the teaching is done via dialogue. Classes are full of vibrant discussion where everyone is expected to participate. This cannot be duplicated in a correspondence course.
We are currently developing a correspondence course where the men will have the opportunity to engage in some deeper study of the Word of God. We are close to mailing out the first edition and will keep you posted.
I keep getting this assurance that God is going to surround me with brothers and sisters in Christ when I get out.
-anonymous brother
We are setting up Living Letters chapters in major cities in Texas and want to grow this concept to every city. We want this brother’s vision to come true, that when someone is released from prison they are surrounded by the Body of Christ.
We believe this approach will lower the recidivism rate. But wait, there’s more! Dr. Paul Carlin has offered to teach select Living Letters his Licensed Reentry Crisis Counselor curriculum. These Living Letters will turn teach and certify others.
Living Letters will have a licensed Reentry Crisis Counselor ready to assist men and women throughout the state. We desire to work with the state to have as many people as possible achieve success with their transition from prison.
We at Living Letters define success as living the victorious Christian Life, a life that has struggles, but great victories! By God’s Grace!
